Sand filters work on the natural principle of water filtration. Water flows through layers of sand that retain small impurities. The sand is thus polluted and must be washed away. That's what the six-way valve is for. By turning the valve to the sand flushing position, we change the direction of the water flow and thus flush the sand, and the dirt is discharged into the waste. We can repeat this procedure whenever necessary, i.e. for the recommended period of using sand, which is very long compared to other filtration methods.
