An overflow pool works by continuously flowing water over the edge of the pool into a discrete channel, then collecting in a balance tank and returning it through an efficient filtration system. Such an overflow system can be around the entire perimeter or just on one side (the so-called infinity edge), which affects both the appearance and the way it works.

Safety starts from the installation site. The hot tub should be placed on a stable, load-bearing and non-slip surface, with sufficient space for passage and service work. If indoors, ensure good ventilation and drainage of excess moisture to prevent condensation and mould. Protect outdoor tubs from wind and leaves, and make access easy and safe. The electrical installation must be carried out by a qualified professional. A separate circuit with residual current device (RCD) protection, proper earthing and a switch accessible to the user is recommended. Extension cables are not a​​​​​​​cceptable. When installing, follow the manufacturer's instructions regarding connections, valves and maximum load.
